Alice Springs Airport Shuttle Bus

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where does your Shuttle Bus depart from at the Airport, and how far away is Alice Springs?

A: On your arrival our Shuttle Bus will be waiting for you directly outside the Baggage Claim area, at the front of the airport. Our Shuttle Bus will wait until all passengers are cleared from the Baggage Claim area before it departs. Alice Springs Airport is a small, personal airport, so you won’t be able to miss us, just look for the white bus with the blue ‘Shuttle Bus’ down the side.

For your safety and security, our driver must remain with his bus at all times outside the terminal. Our driver is easily recognized in a blue shirt with grey sleeves and the ‘Airport Shuttle’ logo above his front pocket.

Alice Springs is approximately 16kms from the Airport – a 15 minute drive.

Q: Do you pick up/drop off at residential addresses?

A: No, we don't. Our licence doesn't allow residential pick ups or drop offs. You can however catch the Alice Springs Airport Shuttle from our shop in Gregory Terrace.

Q: What time will you get me to the Airport for my flight departing?

A: We schedule our pick ups so that you are at the airport at least one hour before your flight. If you are travelling with Tiger Airlines, we get you to the airport at least two hours before your flight.

To ensure you get to the airport in time for your departure, you must reconfirm your return pick up with us at least the day before your departure. You also need to make sure you are waiting at reception at your accommodation 10 minutes before your advised pick up time.

Due to our tight schedule to get all passengers to the Airport in time for check in, if you miss your pick up time we are unable to return to your accommodation to collect you. (No refund will be available on your unused ticket.)

Our shop in Gregory Terrace (CBD) is open 7 days a week, 365 days per year – we’re even open on Good Friday and Christmas Day. Our opening hours are 07:00 to 16:30.

Q: I’m flying into Alice Springs to meet the Ghan to travel to Darwin by rail. Can you take me to the Railway Station?

A: Yes. If you are arriving at Alice Springs Airport on the same day as you depart on the Ghan whether travelling north or south, when booking on line just select Alice Springs Railway Station as your drop off point and we will take you straight there to meet your Ghan departure.

If your arrival time in Alice Springs doesn’t coincide with the Ghan departure we will drop you off at our shop, right next to the Mall, where you can drop your luggage off in our luggage room and have a walk around town. Our shop manager will then let you know what time you need to be back at the shop to transfer you to the Railway Station in time for your departure on the Ghan. A separate ticket is not required for this second transfer.

If you arrive in Alice Springs on a day prior to the day of your departure on the Ghan, you will need to book a single transfer on line, from Alice Springs Airport to your accommodation, and then ring our shop direct on +61 8 8953 0310, or toll free on 1800 621 188, to book your transfer from your accommodation to the Railway Station. Alternatively, on arrival at your accommodation contact reception who will book your transfer for you. The one way transfer price from your accommodation to the Railway Station is $9.00 (Price subject to increase without notice).
