Buslink provides Alice Springs with its first and only Public Transport network, the ASbus Network (Alice Springs bus network). Initially this was with the Alice Springs Town Council, but more recently this was taken over by the NT Government Public Transport Division.
100% Easy Access
In 2001 Buslink Alice Springs upgraded its three dedicated public transport vehicles to Mercedes Benz O405, and received an award in recognition of being the first urban bus service to have 100% disabled access Australia wide.
Along with these upgrades the Alice Springs Town Council, and Buslink Alice Springs wanted the fleet to reflect the personality of Alice Springs in some way, so special designs were commissioned, designs that were in keeping with the Alice Springs spirit. The vehicles were painted with custom art work, each one showcasing a different aspect of Alice Springs life.
